Special Events at St. Tim's

New Member Orientation on September 16th, 2018

In John’s Gospel we hear time and time again Come and See. This summer we have been blessed with many visitors.  First, and foremost, thank you for joining us in worship.

On Sunday, September 16 at 10:45am, we invite you to join Pastor Michelene for an orientation meeting in the Board Room located in the west wing of St. Tim’s.  We would like you to Come and See how St. Tim’s is faithfully responding to the Gospel.

Our agenda is short.  We would like to get to know you better and we will tell you about St. Tim’s; its history, mission and ministries.  We’ll also introduce you to some staff and council members and answer any questions you may have.

At the end of  our time together you will receive a packet of information regarding membership. We ask that you complete the information form and return it on September 23 when we will fomally receive and welcome you into in the community of St. Tim’s.  If you have any questions, please call Pastor Michelene  at 763-571-9721.

Quilters Sunday ~ October 21st

Please join us for worship service on Sunday, October 21st, 2018, when the dozens of beautiful quilts made by our Quilter’s Group will be on display in our sanctuary.  These quilts are available for purchase and any remaining quilts are donated to various organizations as detailed below.

About our Quilter’s Group:

Our St. Tim’s quilters make 90-100 quilts of various sizes each year.  We thank our quilters for their many hours of time and their talents in making these quilts and for donating them to those who will feel their comfort and warmth.  Most are donated to SACA, Alexandra House, MN Veteran’s Home-Mpls., Bundles of Joy, and Gillette Children’s Hospital.  Quilts are presented to all the newly baptized at St. Tim’s.  You can also purchase quilts any time of the year; simply contact a quilter and she’ll show you what is available.

The Quilters Group meets on the second Wednesday of each month (except December) at 9:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.  They always have a fun time and often enjoy a treat and coffee afterward.

The group is always thrilled to have newcomers join whenever they can!  You don’t have to be a member of or attend church at St. Tim’s; anyone from the community is welcome.  If you can cut fabric or tie, they can use you!   Come every month or as often as you desire.  They accept donations of fabrics and threads of various sorts that can be used to make the quilts.

Trunk or Treat ~ October 28th

Trunk or Treat is a fun, safe event St. Tim’s hosts for our young members of the church as well as community members.  All are welcome!  The kids have a great time dressing up showing off their costumes while our adult members have a chance to enjoy these trick or treaters.  Please plan on participating in this year’s Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 28 after service.

If you’d like to participate, please park your car in the front lower lot (near the townhomes) following service and pass out your treats to our youth!

This year, please feel free to decorate your trunk for added fun!  Need some trunk decorating ideas? Visit www.makeit-loveit.com/2014/09/18-trunk-or-treat-car-decoration-ideas.html.
